On the occasion of hero-producer-educationist Mohan Babu's birthday celebrations at Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Institutions in Tirupati, music maestro Ilayaraja performed a wonderful musical concert accompanied by 32 violinists.
More than 2000 people, including ace director K. Raghavendra Rao and former AP Chief Minister Nedurumalli Janardhan Reddy were present at the event. After felicitating Ilayaraja, Mohan Babu termed Ilayaraja as "pride of the nation". He recalled his association with Ilayaraja over three decades.
Ilayaraja said that music is immaculate and divine like milk. "For normal degrees, the time period is set. But for learning music, there is no end. It is eternal and the course would continue to haunt its lovers for their whole lives." Later, Ilayaraja composed a fascinating lyric with the maxims of Mahatma Gandhi. He declared that the composition was dedicated to the educational institutions of Mohan Babu.
