Gautham Vasudev Menon is proving himself not just as a talented filmmaker, but a shrewd businessman too.
The director, whose production company Photon Kathas was recently listed in the London Stock Exchange, has now bagged the audio rights of an upcoming film.
Impressed by songs from ‘Kanden’, a film directed by Prabhu Deva’s assistant Mukil which has Santhanu, Santhanam and newcomer Reshma in the lead, the director has acquired its music rights.
Vijay Ebenezer, a former associate of Harris Jayaraj, has composed music for the movie. “Sangeetha and her husband Krish gave the audio CD of 'Kanden' to Gautham at a function. Impressed by it, he has decided to release on his own audio label,” sources say.
Gautham is currently directing ‘Nadunisi Naaygal’ and the Hindi remake of ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvya’. He is also producing two movies- ‘Veppam’ and ‘Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai’.
