For the first version it was Nirav Shah who worked as the cinematographer but as he got busy with his other projects, director Chakri Toleti decided on Hemant. This is for the first Hemant is working for South Film Industry. His earlier films in Bollywood were RGV's Company, Vishal Bhardwaj’s Makdee, Magbool, Kurban and Dus Kahaniyaan. Hemant received great critical acclaim for his achievements. With Hemant being the cameraman for Thala, Billa 2 is going to have brilliant visuals.

Wide Angle Creations in association with the Hinduja Group Company IN Entertainment is producing the film. Billa 2 will start by May mid in Thuthukudi.
