Kazhugu grand audio launch at the Satyam Theatres

Talking Times Movies and Arun Film Entertainers' Kazhugu, had a grand audio launch at the Satyam Theatres today (Nov 23) morning.


The event was attended by the who's who of Kollywood and the entire affair was conducted in a grand, but casual and friendly manner.

The highlight of the event was the emceeing done by the lead pair, Krishna and Bindu Madhavi, along with debut director Sathyasiva.

The trio introduced each of the three songs before they were screened, giving bits of their experiences, after which the trailer was shown.

The film is the next one of Vishnuvardhan's brother Krishna and the second Tamil film of Bindhu after Veppam.

The camera work by debutant Satya, former assistant to Thirru, came in for much praise from all the dignitaries, as did the debut director's clarity of vision.

Said SA Chandrasekar, "It looks like a realistic film with the even the costumes looking authentic and suiting the hilly locales. Realistic films are doing wonders at the box office these days, and I hope that like Vishnu and Yuvan, Krishna too will do his dad Pattiyal Sekar, proud."

Sakti Chidambaram hailed the director as the next Bala in the making while SP Jananathan said that the life of hill dwellers was shown very authentically in the film. RK Selvamani felt that Bindhu ressembled Silk Smitha in her features and had a bright future.

Vishnuvardhan complimented the team and thanked Yuvan who came for the audio despite a high fever. "Yuvan has always helped us out and now I am happy he is supporting my brother. His music for my latest Telugu film is already a hit."

Sarath Kumar remarked on the clean framing of the shots while PL Thenappan felt it was another Mynaa in the making.

The film dwells on the life of a boy who makes a living out of collecting dead bodies of suicide victims in the hill regions. The film was shot in Munnar and the cast comprises of Jayaprakash, Karunas and Thambi Ramaiah amongst others.

Among those who attended the audio function were Yuvan Shankar Raja, TG Thiagarajan, Kalaipuli Thanu, Jayaprakash, Gayathri and Pushkar, Veera and others.
