After the likes of Mammooty, Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi and Prithviraj, comes Kailash, a popular Malayalam actor to try his luck in Kollywood. He is a popular face in Kerala having been part of successful films like Neelathamara, Cigar, Vaidooriyam and Best of Luck.


His maiden venture in Tamil is titled Marudhavelu and it is being directed by Adhimoolam.

Kailash will have newcomer Akansha as his heroine. The movie will feature Natchatra in a prominent role. Ilavarasu, Thalaivasal Vijay, Bhanuchander and Sabitha Anand form part of the cast. Speaking about the film, Adhimoolam, says, ‘the movie carries a strong message and we have told it in an entertaining way. Kailash has lived the character and he will go places’.

He said, ‘ the highlight of the movie is the climax shot in a remote village. We used bulls from adjoining villages for the scene and obtained due permission from Animal Welfare Board’.

For a particular scene, Kailash and Natchatra jumped from 140-feet high building without any body double, he adds.The movie has music by James Vasanthan and songs are penned by Na Muthukumar, Thanjai Ayappan and Mohan Raj.
