Suriya’s breathtaking performance, Vijay’s magical dance, Ajith Kumar’s screen appearance, Vikram’s sudden shift between mass and offbeat roles has been the winning identities in Bollywood.
Despites the fact that most of the South Indian remakes were from Telugu industry, the B-town producers and actors decided to go for the remake patently after its results in Kollywood. Say for instance. Puri Jaganath’s ‘Pokkiri’ had more options for Bollywood, but was remade after the grand success in Tamil and same the director Prabhu Deva was signed to wield the megaphone.

And now, it’s the song mania that’s rocking to the core in Bollywood. Especially the recent chartbusters have been creating ripples of sensation in Hindi speaking territories. ‘Appadi Podu’ might have had its origin nearly before 7 years, but still Bollywood stars love humming it now and then. The evergreen superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan has been constantly using them. In fact, Big B had rendered the song in his recent release ‘Buddaah Hoga Tera Baap’.

Aamir Khan had openly confessed that Vijay’s ‘Appadi Podu’ has been one of his favorite numbers. Sony BMG following the unforeseen, unpredictable and whatever synonyms to put up with the grand success of ‘Why This Kolaveri Di’ have picked up Silambarasan’s ‘Kalasala’ from Osthe to promote the film. The promotional video has the tagline that reads ‘Response to Bollywood’s Munni’, ‘L.R. Eeswari – South Indian Asha Bhosle’ and ‘From the Director of Appadi Podu’.

Now we can expect that lots of Tamil videos can easily capture the market into Bollywood areas, thereby expanding the market.
