Simbu says Vetrimaran's Vada Chennai a gangster story

Silambarasan has teamed up with national award-winning filmmaker Vetrimaran for the movie, which is currently being called Vada Chennai.
The actor will be seen in a different avatar in an action-oriented gangster flick.

Talking about the movie, Simbu said, “Happy to announce a untitled movie with National award winner for best director Vetrimaran and Cloud Nine Movies. It's a gangster movie and will be first of its kind role in my career. Shooting starts on March 2012. Wish you guys bless me for the movie. And before that will meet you guys as Osthi Velan on screens this December 8 all over the world,” Simbu said.

Silambarasan will be seen alongside Telugu-Bollywood actor Rana Daggubatti and Andrea Jeremiah. The pre-production works are in full swing according to producer Dhayanidhi Alagiri. The technical team of the movie consists of Vetrimaran's favourite musician GV Prakash and Velraj is the cinematographer. The forthcoming project will take off in March 2012.
