It is big news for 'Ilaya Thalapathy' fans! Yes, Vijay is crooning a song for his upcoming film 'Thuppaki'.

It is the film's music director, Harris Jayaraj, who requested Vijay to sing this song, the actor instantly said, "Yes!" When quizzed about the song Harris Jayaraj said, "Yes, Vijay is singing this song. When I composed this song I felt Vijay's voice would suit the best. He was approached and to my surprise he immediately agreed to sing. And, we are going to record this party song soon."

'Thuppakki' is reported to have resumed its second schedule of shoot in Mumbai with Vijay's major portions are planned to be canned.

Director A R Murugadoss also gave a break when the entire industry went stand still because of the ongoing strike by the FEFSI workers.

'Thuppakki' features Vijay as a cop, an encounter specialist. Kajal Agarwal plays the heroine.
