Dileep, a prominent in all Visu films in 1980s breathed his last in Mysore today. He was 52. He is survived by his wife Hema and daughter Bhavya and son Maurya.
Actor Dilip, who shot to fame with Varumayin Niram Siavappu, died today at his hometown Mysore. The actor is known for his performances in Visu’s Samsaram Adhu Minsaram, Valli, Thoongathey Thambi Thoongathey and many more.
One of the prominent character artiste in 1980s and early 1990s, he had acted with Kamal Haasan in Varumaiyiun Niram Sivapu and Thoongathae Thambi Thongathae and with Rajnikanth in Mappillai and Valli.
His Malayalam film Njan Ekananu was a huge success and its songs are still among the best in Kerala. In most of his movies, he acted as hero's friend. Nowadays he is not much into movies.
Recently Dilip was reported having some health issues. He died of kidney failure and heart attack. His cremation would take place in Mysore.
