Even as Ilayathalapathy Vijay is busy wrapping up his film with A R Murugadoss and all set to start work on his next with director A L Vijay, we hear the actor is in talks with the producers of the upcoming Ajith-Siruthai Siva project for a film. While it’s being said that Vijay has expressed interest, no agreement has been signed.
A source close to the production house reveals, “We’d approached Vijay recently, and expressed our interest in making a film with him. He was keen and told us that he will definitely do one for us. We are yet to zero in on a director and the rest of the cast and crew. However, we haven’t signed any agreement as of now. We will start rolling with our Ajith-starrer in November. Only after this film starts rolling, will we concentrate on our next project.”

If this movie with Vijay materialises, it is likely to kickstart in 2013.

A source close to Vijay also confirms that the actor has been approached by the production house for a possible venture.

Meanwhile…. Title change for Thuppaki?
As we all know, there’s an ongoing legal tangle between the makers of Thuppaki and Kalla Thuppaki. The latest rumour doing the rounds is that the Thuppaki filmmakers may go for a title change and one of the titles being talked about on social networking sites is Saravedi. However, an industry source says that no such decision has been taken by the Thuppaki filmmakers as yet on this as the matter is in court. But the source claims that there are some alternate names being talked about in case the court asks for a change of title.

The teaser trailer and audio of the A R Murugadoss-Vijay film has been kept on hold till the issue is resolved in court. Ravi Devan, the maker of Kalla Thuppaki, had filed the case in court claiming that audiences will get confused as the two films have similar titles. When contacted, director Murugadoss did not wish to comment on the issue as it was subjudice.

A recent press release states that Thuppaki is set for release this Diwali. Murugadoss and Ilayathalapathy Vijay fans are eagerly looking forward to its release.
