Thuppakki poster copy
It's natural for any Vijay film to garner all the attention, when nearing release. Thuppakki, of course, for various reasons have been getting huge attention. If it's the title issue first, then the audio launch, now it is the turn of the poster to do the talking - the most discussed on our tamilstudios facebook page.
The poster has Kajal Agarwal which resembles a poster of Richar Gere's English film. This has put a question in fans' mind whether 'Thuppaki' is based on that Hollywood film.

A R Murugadoss was quick to clarify on this. He has said it is not actually the case. 'Thuppakki' doesn't have an army backdrop like Gere's film; instead it is set in Mumbai. Besides that particular scene, everything in 'Thuppaki' is original, confirms Murugadoss.

The director further assured that Vijay's role will be much talked about among fans. "Usually female leads in my films will play such energetic characters, but in this movie, Vijay has taken upon himself to play a lively and hyper character. I feel that this will be Vijay's best role so far in his career," adds Murugadoss.
