The latest buzz in the industry is that actress Yami Gautam has been approached to play the lead in Ilayathalapathy's next.
The film, directed by A L Vijay, is touted to go on floors as soon as the actor finishes work on his current assignment.

Yami, who shot to fame post her performance in Vicky Donor, is currently working on Radhamohan's Gauravam with Allu Sirish.

A source close to the film's unit reveals, "Vijay's unit approached Yami about a week ago to check the availability of her dates. However, nothing has been finalised as yet."

Meanwhile, we hear director Vijay had gone location hunting recently, and sources tell us that he's keen on shooting some important sequences in Australia or New Zealand.
