Lekha Washington signed up for Simbu’s directorial venture with ‘Kettavan’ and then the film came to a standstill after a few days of shooting.

After her unceremonious exit from the film Lekha had done a few movies such as Jayam Kondaan and Va Quarter Cutting.

With Kettavan appearing to have been abandoned and as on date, it’s unclear as to who plays the female lead in the film replacing her, Lekha Washington appears to have been caught at the crossroads of her career as she neither wishes to go back to small screen nor does she have enough number of film offers on hand to play the lead.

She is also said to be making some serious efforts to bring out the ‘director’ in her and has taken up making of a short film.

Lekha’s first attempt in film-making would be in the form of a short film. She showed Simbu the script of the proposed film and Simbu took her in surprise, announcing he would play the lead role in the short film she proposes to shoot.

Simbu’s offer to act has reportedly healed the wounds he had inflicted on the actress who has ‘forgiven’ him for making her disappear out of his Kettavan.
