2013 Wishlist for Kollywood New Pairs

2013 Jodi wishlist
The year 2012 saw many new actors and actresses emerge in Kollywood. And numerous established stars also paired up with each other for the first time. While Ilayathalapathy Vijay sang ‘hot and spicy girlfriend’ to Kajal Aggarwal in Thuppakki, she was romanced by Suriya in Maattrraan. We takes a quick look at some of the top stars and the new pairs the audience would like to see on-screen this year.

Suriya and Ileana

Suriya has been very successful in commercial movies that are also a little different. As one of the top stars in K-Town today, he is one actor who also has a large fan following in Andhra Pradesh too. Ileana is a top star in Tollywood who moved to B-Town with Barfi! However, her appeal and status remains sans pareil in the south and if she were to team up with Suriya, it’s likely to be a sure-fire hit, say people.

Ajith and Anushka

Ajith is an actor who chooses and carves his own path in cinema and in life. And so is Anushka. While he has had a long career in Kollywood, she has made it big in Telugu cinema before coming here. Considering their personalities and their success, it will be a casting coup for any director to get them together for his or her project.

Vijay and Amy Jackson

The Ilayathalapathy has worked with most actresses in Kollwyood. So, his pairing up with Amy Jackson will definitely be fresh and a little unconventional for him. The British actress has worked in non-run-of-the-mill movies in the last two years in Kollywood and is seen as a contender for the top slot here today. So, will we see this pair sizzle
on screen anytime soon?

Vikram and Kajal Aggarwal

Chiyaan Vikram has romanced many a heroine, the latest being Amy in Shankar’s I.
But seeing him with Kajal will be new to moviegoers. The actress has had a great run in 2012 in Kollywood and teaming up with Vikram, who’s a powerhouse of talent, is likely to take her to greater p>

Vikram Prabhu and Samantha

Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan’s grandson made a quiet entry with Kumki, which turned out to be a superhit. His performance was appreciated and the audience as well as critics commented that he definitely had the makings of a star. Pairing him up with Samantha, who’s perfect as the girl-next-door, will be a sight to watch on screen, they say.

Karthi and Amala Paul

Karthi is just as popular as his brother Suriya in Kollywood and Tollywood and has had numerous hits to his credit. The Mynaa girl has also seen success starting from a small film to films with top stars in Tamil and Telugu cinema today. Karthi and Amala Paul make for a good pairing, say the movie-loving audience — while he can play the comical ‘bad boy’, she can essay the fun-loving good girl.
