Kochadaiyaan getting ready for April release

Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiyaan is one of the most-awaited flicks, but all seems to be quiet on that front. It was rumoured to release in December in time for his birthday last year, then Pongal and finally, April this year. However, there have been no updates so far.

We hear the makers are working towards completing work on the film in time to facilitate the release. Sources tell us that the CG work on the film is happening at four different places to speed up the process.

A source says, “The film is high on graphics and efficient teams are working on it in four studios including Chennai and London. We are also working on the final mix of the album, and are working out dates for the audio launch. With shooting wrapped up long back, it’s just the heavy post-production work that’s taking time now.”

Director Soundarya says, “The film is in its editing stage now, and we’ve already locked the first half. We’re working on the second half of the film now, and re-recording, sound effect and dubbing will begin from next month.”

We’ll also have to wait and see if Deepika Padukone dubs for her own lines as reported earlier. As of now, it looks like the movie is slated for a Tamil New Year release.
