Sitting in a chair with Gate way of India as its backdrop (indicating that the film is set in Mumbai), with tag line that says 'Time to lead', initiates the idea that Vijay is a politician. But the filmmaker deny these reports and state that the movie has no political intentions in it.
Apart from Amala Paul playing the heroine and Abhimanyu Singh as the villain, the film also features Sathyaraj, Santhanam, Suresh, Manobala, Ponvannan and others in prominent roles. With GV Prakash's music score, the movie is edited by Anthony and cinematography is by Nirav Shah.
Shobi, Dinesh and Chinni Prakash will handle the choreography, while Stunt Siva will choreograph the fight sequences. Produced by S Chandraprakash Jain, under the banner Sri Mishri Productions, the film is expected to be a May 2013 release.
