Confirming the news, Chaya says, "The whole package — my characterization, the cast including Udhay and Nayanthara and director Prabhakaran — appealed to me, and I gladly got on board. I play Udhay's sister in the film, and the character's got a lot of depth. I will begin shooting for my scenes from next week in Chennai."
She adds, "This is my big ticket re-entry here. Everyone in the film's proved their worth and have established themselves as a bankable artist and technician in the industry. I'm happy to be associated with this project." Glad to be back in KTown after a long time, Chaya says, "I was always welcomed with a lot of love and warmth in Kollywood. People loved me for the kind of work I've done in Tamil films and it's good to be back here." S R Prabhakaran says, "We started shooting yesterday, and director Sasikumar, my guru, took the muhurat shot. Udhay and Nayan are part of this schedule, which will be on in Chennai for the next 15 days."
