The movie which has music by Illayaraja is based on certain real-life incidents and speaks about the deadly floods on the banks of the Godavari River. The script is inspired by four individuals and their stories of the 1986 floods in Godavari districts. Its director Kumar Nagendra has canned the movie by the river banks of Godavari in Chinchinada village to give it a rustic and realistic look.
It may be noted that Aadhi’s last release Aravaan though earned critical praise, didn’t do too well at the box-office.
