But the movie has got unexpected publicity and was sent for a special screening at Cannes Film Festival.
Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap came forward to distribute this film in North India with Hindi, English subtitles. The story is based on an English novel Red Tea (by Paul Harris Daniel).
The film stars Adharvaa Murali, Vedhika Kumar, Dhansika and Uma Riyaz Khan. Most of the shoot for Paradesi took place in Salur, Manamadurai in Sivagangai district, Munnar, Talaiyar in Kerala, and the forest areas in Theni district. G.V. Prakash Kumar has composed the music for the film, which has cinematography by Chezhiyan.
