There are news reports that for the Hindi remake of Thuppakki, B-Town actor Akshay Kumar got a whopping 50 crore as salary. Ask director A R Murugadoss about it and he says, “That is a production call and I’m not really clued in on that side.”

Akshay Kumar after Delivering a Special performance in Special chabbis has signed with Reliance where Akki will be paid a remuneration of nearly Rs50 crore for the remake of the south film Thupakki. This figure also makes him the highest paid actor in B-Town.
According to the sources “The makers were keen to have Akshay on board, so they paid him whatever he asked for; approximately Rs50 crore, which is probably the highest in Bollywood.”

Meanwhile, we learns that Pritam Chakraborty been roped in to score the music for this flick. Apparently, two songs for the film have already been recorded. Says Murugadoss, “Pritam is working hard on the tunes and will be completing them as soon as possible.”
