Thuppakki features Vijay and Kajal Agarwal in lead roles. Director Murugadoss’ smooth screenplay, electrifying camera works of Santosh Sivan and the excellent background score Harris Jeyaraj are the major pluses of the film. The film received good reviews from the critics and audience.
The film has broken few previous box office records of Tamil Nadu. Trade experts say that after Enthiran, Thuppakki has received the biggest opening collections in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. In 10 days, the movie has become the second Tamil film ever next to Superstar Rajinikanth’s Enthiran to enter the Rs 100 crore club.
Thuppakki made at a budget of 70 crores has made a Total Box Office collection of Rs 185 crores. The movie has also added new pride to Vijay as Thuppakki is the third continuous hit of Vijay after Velayudham and Nanban.
As per sources the producer of the movie Kalaippuli S.Thanu has planned for a grand function to celebrate the grand success and 100 Days of Thuppakki. Thanu is also expected to honour the entire team of Thuppakki at the function.
Vijay’s is currently shooting for Thalaiva, directed by Vijay. The film, with Amala Paul as the leading lady, is expected to show Vijay in a new avatar.
