Case against Mani Ratnam, gets police protection

Mannan films bought the rights of Kadal for 16 crores from Gemini Film Circuits. But movie has got only 2 to 3 crores from the theatres. So, Mannan Films filed a case against Mani Ratnam and also attacked his house.
A petition was filed at Abhiramapuram police station, on behalf of Mani Ratnam, seeking protection for his house. Commissioner of Police has arranged a personal protection to Mani Ratnam.
