Popular southern actress Trisha Krishnan, who is currently on vacation, can't wait to return to meet a baby hippo named after her by its caretaker in a zoo here.

Actress Trisha Krishnan, who will be making her Kannada debut in a trilingual, RUM, has is an excited women right now. Being a popular actress in Tollywood and Kollywood, she had many fans doing crazy thing to express their love for her, but this is the first time that someone has name a baby hippopotamus, Trisha, after the actress.

The actress took to her Twitter page to say, "Hope everyones doing well. sending lotsa love.haha n cant wait to meet Trisha aka baby hippo once I'm back in Chennai ;)" expressing her happiness over the development.

The caretaker at the Vandalur Zoo, in Chennai, seems to be a big fan of the actress as it was him who named the new born after Trisha.

The actress is known for her efforts towards the welfare of animals. She in combined efforts with PETA issued a public awareness message to domesticate stray dogs.
