The big June battle in Tamil Nadu box-office starts this weekend (June 14 to 16). Two big Tamil romantic comedies and a Hollywood action movie are going to clash.

June 14 is going to see a clash – Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru (TVSK) versus Thillu Mullu versus Man of Steel. UTV is likely to release TVSK in 250 screens, while Vendhar Movies has also got equal number of screens for Thillu Mullu. And Ramanarayanan's Thenandral Films is releasing Man of Steel in 150 screens in English and Tamil.

The June 14 weekend will be the first after the schools have reopened. However on June 15 there is the big India versus Pakistan clash at Edgbaston for Champions Trophy being held in England.

Thillu Mullu and TVSK are being aggressively promoted by Vendhar and UTV respectively on radio, television, print and the net. Both the films are getting better recall value than any recent films.

Meanwhile the advance booking for both the films will start from Wednesday. It promises to be a cracker of a weekend.
