Hit combo of Thala Ajith and director Vishnuvardhan, Arrambam has successfully completed 50 days of run in about 60 screens in Chennai, which is a rare case in present Tamil cinema.

Arrambam with the likes of Ajith, Nayantara, Arya, Taapsee and Rana is considered as genuine Tamil blockbuster film in the recent times with Ajith's stylish act and spellbinding cast, along with Yuvan Shankar Raja's fashionable music and modernized cinematography by Om Prakash.

Not only in Tamil, but also the Telugu version of Arrambam with the title 'Aata Arrambam' released on December 6th is receiving good WOM from cinema lovers and still running in theaters, despite many releases.

The film also showcased Ajith is a new makeover, a never-seen-before avatar in any of his earlier films. This action entertainer has also made good business at the box office. The film also marks Vishnuvardhan and Ajith's second flick together, and also crossed the Rs. 50 crores collection mark in its first week itself, including overseas collections.
