Two good actors with a terrific sense of humour Bhagyaraj and Jayaram are coming together. They are together for the first time in a political satire titled Thunai Mudhalvar, directed by Vivekanandan, who had earlier done 'Madhiya Sirai', a film which went on floors recently.
Malayalam actress Shwetha Menon, known for her controversial movies will be part of the movie while Meenakshi, who hasn't been seen much in Tamils for a while, is back and is paired with Jayaram.
The director said that there would be no reference to the modern day political scenario nor criticism of political personalities. 'In fact, it is a story written by Bhagyaraj. When I approached him with my script, he told me that he had a story and asked me to use it instead of mine,' the director said.
The story is based in a village where both Bhagyaraj and Jayaram are bigwigs and good samaritans and when the Chief Minister comes to know of their good deeds, he feels that one of them should be made Deputy Chief Minister so that the entire State would benefit.
The shoot of the film has started near Pollachi.
