It is almost confirmed Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Jilla will clash with Thala Ajith's Veeram for Pongal 2014. Both the biggies are slated for release on same day – January 10. The booking of screens has started all over Tamil Nadu.

Ajith's Veeram has been censored with a clean U certificate, which means it is eligible for entertainment tax exemption. The promotions of the film are yet to start.

The buzz is that a 2 minute theatrical trailer of Veeram has been cut. It will be premiered first on Sun TV, who holds the satellite rights on New Year day (January 1, 2014), and simultaneously uploaded on Youtube.

Meanwhile Vijay's Jilla is getting censored today (Dec 31). The producers of the film are keeping promotions at a low key. The first trailer cut of the film will be released on online space by the end of the week.
