News of Captain Vijayakanth's son making his debut in Kollywood had been doing the rounds for quite some time.

The latest buzz is that Vijayakanth's son Shanmuga Pandian will be making his debut as a hero in Sagaptham, under the Captain Cine Creations banner.

This movie, to be directed by Santosh Kumar Rajan, is to go on floors at 11.00 am on December 12 - the Superstar's birthday.

The movie's muhurtham is to happen at Saligramam in Chennai. The rest of the cast and crew are expected to be announced soon!
