After the super hit film Pizza, Karthik Subburaj’s upcoming film is Jigarthanda in which Siddharth and Lakshmi Menon plays the lead.

It is usual to see a film with gang of villains with weapons and chase sequences, when it is of a Madurai backdrop. But Karthik Subburaj has taken a new innovative to show Madurai in a new dimension with no usual Madurai based film elements.

Along with Siddharth, Lakshmi Menon, Prathap Pothn, Simha will also be sharing the screen space. The camera is handled by Gavemic U Ary whereas the editing is taken care by Vivek Harshan. Music for this flick is being composed by Santhosh Narayanan. This film is produced by Kathiresan under his bannr Five Star Films. Release of this film has been scheduled for January 2014.
