'Naan Sigappu Manithan' Church set in Mahabalipuram

Naan Sigappu Manithan
The set of a clear white church erected by the team of Naan Sigappu Manithan has piqued the curiosity of industry folks. We have learnt that this set is part of a backdrop for a song that director Thiru is presently picturising on Vishal, Sunder Ramu and Jagan.

The director tells us, “The set in pristine white has been erected in the backwaters near Mahabalipuram. Art director Jacky (who’s worked in Paruthiveeran and Aadukalam) and his team worked for five days on the church set. We spent around 25 lakh building it. In fact, the locals were surprised to suddenly find a church sprouting in their neighborhood just days before Christmas.” However, the director adds that the unit will wrap up shoot before December 25, though they are planning to leave the set intact for some time.

Thiru says the church will denote the colour white in the song. “It’s a special kind of a song and will prominently feature five colours — black, white, yellow, blue and green — in it. These colours are significant for the song as well as the film. We are planning to shoot portions of the song in other natural backdrops also,” he adds.

The song, Yelelo, has been composed and sung by GV Prakash. Shobi has choreographed the number, which will feature Vishal, Sunder Ramu, Jagan and almost 250 people, who will constitute the crowd.
