Trisha to pair Kannada Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar?
Trisha, Tamil cinema's queen bee and the biggest survivor in the top slot for last 10 years is all set to make her debut in a Kannada...
She has been approached for the Kannada remake of the Telugu hit movie Dookudu and the buzz is that the actress is being offered an unheard of salary for any Kannada heroine. Though Trisha is yet to sign on the dotted line, news from the production house confirms that the actress is convinced and an official announcement will follow soon.
The Kannada version of Dookudu is also being produced by the Telugu producers of Dookudu with slight changes in the script. As the story demanded a well-known face, the producers decided to rope in Trisha, who is extremely popular in Karnataka.
Apparently, the actress who is always associated by big budget superstar commercial films in Tamil and Telugu was contemplating her Kannada entry for the last two years. And now, grapevine has it that this remake will be on the big budget extravaganzas which will be shot in Spain and some exotic locales.
Unlike Tamil or Telugu film industries, Kannada films have limited market and that seems to be the strong reasons for producers to not to cast top heroines from other languages, as
they command huge remuneration. Earlier Trisha's contemporaries like Nayanthara, have done Kananda biggies for a huge salary.
The Kannada version of Dookudu will go on the floors later this week. The producers have not yet announced the star cast or the technical crew. At present, Puneeth is busy wrapping up shooting for his movie Ninnindale, which is being directed by Jayanth Paranjee.
