There are certain groups that are ready to protest on any sensitive issues. Before few months, the release of Madras Café was banned by judicial members and many supporters of LTTE (more from the film industry) had opposed the film’s release.

But how far effective was their protest?

The film finally hits the home video markets in Chennai. And guess what? The DVDs sold like hot cakes beating Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express.

Madras Café is about an undercover agent stumbling down the way stuck in the drama of former Indian Prime Minister’s assassination by Tamil protest groups in Sri Lanka.
