Big releases Queued up for next few weeks in Kollywood
Kollywood seems to be beaming under a line of big releases as it gushes into the month of love.

Just like the previous weekend, which saw notable releases like Malini 22 Palayamkottai, Ner Ethir, Goli Soda and 47 Saagasa Veerargal, a Tamil dubbing of Robin, this weekend will also see packed theatres with three new movies set for release.

Gear up for a laughter riot in Vincent Selva's Inga Enna Solludhu on January 30. The movie has Ganesh of Vinaithandi Varuvaya fame, who is also the producer, playing the lead with Meera Jasmine and Santhanam in the supporting roles.

Besides the comic relief, there is director Vikraman's comeback film Ninaithadu Yaro starring Malayalam actor Renjith and Nimisha Suresh. The film is expected to be a pure romantic entertainer by Vikranam, who is known for his popular films like Suryavamsam and Unnidathil Ennai Koduthen, in the late nineties.

Taking the romance back to the eighties, powdering it with Imman's music and Vijay Sethupathi's acting is Rummy, set to release on January 31. The film by debutant director Balakrishnan is said to be a dark romantic thriller and will also star Gayathrie, known for her role in Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom, Ishwarya Rajesh and Inigo Prabhakaran. While that marks a good start for February, an exciting line-up extends the spirit for the first week and beyond.

Yash Chopra Productions marks its entry into Kollywood with Aaha Kalyanam, remake of Band Baaja Baarat. The film directed by Gokul Krishna has actor Nani and Bollywood actor Vaani Kapoor playing the lead.

While Ahaa Kalyanam promises a blast of colour and celebration on February 7, Pulivaal that shares the same release date, guarantees a few guffaws. The comedy thriller, a remake of Malayalam film Chaapa Kurishu by director Marimuthu, has Vimal and Prasanna playing the lead with Iniya, Ananya and Oviya playing the supporting roles.

The February movie feast also includes Vijay Sethupathi starrer Pannaiyarum Padminiyum, a story of an old man's love for his vintage car and Velmurugan Borewell that will see Kanja Karuppu turning producer.
