It has now been confirmed that Kajal Agarwal will be playing the female lead to the National Award winning star Dhanush in his upcoming film. And this venture will be directed by Balaji Mohan of Kaadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Eppadi fame.

The actress had earlier missed an opportunity to work with the National award winning actor. Kajal was Vetrimaran’s initial choice for ‘Pollathavan’. She even took part in a test photo shoot, but was later let go.

The director is currently busy wielding the megaphone for Vaai Moodi Pesavum, starring Dulqur Salman and Nazriya as the lead pair. The Dhanush – Kajal project will go on floors once the director completes VMP. In the meantime, Dhanush will be wrapping up the projects that he is now starring in ‘Velai Illa Pattathari’ and ‘Anegan’, say sources in Kollywood.
