There has been a lot of buzz around the release date of actor Nakul’s film Vallinam directed by Arivazhagan of Eeram fame.

Sports genre movies are a rarity in Indian Cinema, because apart from Cricket it would be hard for the general audience to relate to any other sports.

Thus in order to break through that stereotype director Arivazhagan is setting up with his second venture ‘Vallinam’ based on America’s most famous sport Basketball. The film will feature Nakul, Mridhula Basker and Atul Kulkarni forming the core of the flick.

The film went for its censor test recently, and had come with a clean ‘U’.  Thus it has been said that the film is expected to be out by this month 24th. The filmmakers are planning for a decent release of this flick which would be totally based on the sport.

Music for the film is composed by S Thaman, and it is to be noted that lyricist Vaali has written a song in this flick titled ‘Vallinam’.

In the meantime, Ajith’s Veeram and Vijay’s Jilla are all set to release on January 10, which means Nakul will get a span of two weeks to hit screens with a bang, after the initial hysteria over the Thala-Ilayathalapathy clash is over.
