Here's big news for Ilayathalapathy Vijay's fans. The actor's latest offering, Jilla, has been trimmed after a day the film hit screens. The film, hitherto, had a running time of 2 hours and 52 minutes. Now that it has been chopped down by 10 minutes, it has picked pace.

The running time of Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Jilla has been trimmed after day-one of its release. The film which had a running time of 2 hrs 52 minutes has been cut by 10 minutes. The late night editing has taken place in the second half of the film. The fans and those who saw it on the first day thought that there was some lag. While a section of the people loved the film, another section felt that the film drags a bit due to the running time for 3 hours.

The producer RB Chowdary immediately decided to trim it. From today early morning shows, the running time of Jilla is only 2 hrs and 42 minutes, which has made it faster.

The editing happened in the second part of the film. The reason is that the audience that saw the film on the first day of its release found it a tad long. The film has Vijay, Mohanlal and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead. Jilla is directed by Neason.
