Music director GV Prakash, who turns hero with the Tamil film Pencil, is on a weight-losing spree. The actor now sports a lean, clean look, thanks to his work-out sessions at the gym.

Says Prakash, “Yes, I have been working out regularly and as a result, I have lost nine kilos in a matter of just three months. I was 69 kg before and now, I weigh exactly 60 kg. My workouts at the gym coupled with a strict diet have enabled me to attain this look.”

Interestingly, the composer has been working out for only 45 minutes a day to get the look of a school boy, his role in the film. Pencil, touted to be a thriller, features Sri Divya in the lead and is being directed by Mani Nagaraj. It also features VTV Ganesh and Urvashi.

One other reason why the film is eagerly awaited is because it will be one of the first Tamil movies to be shot using the Red Dragon, the camera used to shoot Transformers. Giving details, he says, “We have completed shooting 50 per cent of the film and will be beginning the next schedule in a week’s time after which it will be ready for release.”
