Actress Lakshmi Rai is currently shooting for Irumbu Kuthirai, from which she was earlier reported to have opted out of for unknown reasons. We learn that the actress is back in the multi-starrer, which has Atharvaa and Priya Anand in the lead. Vietnamese American actor Johnny Tri Nguyen of 7am Arivu fame is also playing one of the lead roles in the film.

Sources say, “Lakshmi was first signed on for this project, but she was not informed about the shooting for a very long time. In fact, 60 per cent of the film was also completed without her. The team even shot for over 30 days in Italy, in which the actress did not take part. Meanwhile, the makers were also looking for a replacement for her role. But, now the confusion is sorted out and she is back in the project.”

The actress will be shooting for 12 days for her portions in the film. When contacted, the director of the film, Yuvraj, admitted to the confusion, but he refused to talk about it. He said, “Yes, Lakshmi Rai is there in the film. She is playing the role of a biker in it.” We learn that the actress has even learnt to ride a sports bike for this role.
