We had reported earlier that Manisha Yadav has been removed from Seenuramasamy’s upcoming film Idam Porul Aeval. The actress even demanded compensation from the director as she was removed from the film after shooting for the film for a couple of days. Now, we learn that Nandita of Atta Kathi fame has replaced Manisha and she has also started shooting for the film. She will be paired opposite Vijay Sethupathi, with whom she had earlier acted in Idharkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara.

Interestingly, Nandita was earlier signed on for the same project but for another role, in which she was to be Vishnu Vishal’s pair. The team is currently scouting for another actress to play this pivotal character. Manisha was given a choice to take up this supporting role, but she chose to walk away from the film.

A source close to the unit says, “After Manisha’s ouster, Nandita auditioned for the role and was selected as the director felt that she was apt for the character of a village girl from a farming background.”
