Jai – Yami Gautam starrer Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum, directed by Prem Sai, a former associate of Prabhu Deva, will feature a social message never heard before in cinema.

According to Yami Gautham, "Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum is probably the first time that any film will touch on this subject, though in a subtle way. The film has action, romance and humour, and so, when we address this social issue, it won’t look like we are preaching."

Reportedly, Yami plays a salesgirl of a khadi store in the movie. The talented actress felt a different experience when taking up the role of a salesgirl rather than the usual when she would be buying things from the other side of the counter.

Yami was last seen in Tamil in Radha Mohan's Gouravam, which marked the debut of Allu Arjun's brother Allu Sirish.
