Actor Vijay has become one of the most sought after stars in Tamil film industry and he has an enviable fan base too.
Actor Vijay who stuck to towards romantic and family oriented subjects in the initial stages of his career has today emerged as the top ranking mass hero thanks to his films like Thirumalai, Ghillie and Thirupachi. Thought the first two films in the list were super hits it Thirupachi that elevated Vijay as the mass star especially in towns and rural centers.

Perarasu, the direcor who debuted with Thirupachi has said in a recent interview that young heroes should avoid build up scenes, punch dialogues and self praising songs. They cannot use them just because these are used in Rajini, Vijay and Ajith films. The three actors did not become stars over night and they added mass elements in their films gradually and that's why they have been accepted as mass heroes.

Director Perarasu has now revealed an interesting information about Vijay. Vijay reportedly did not want self-praising songs and punch dialogues in the film.

Perarasu also revealed that Vijay was reluctant to dance for ‘Nee Endha Ooru’ song as he felt the lyrics was over-exaggerated. Vijay agreed to dance for that song only after Perarasu convinced him that he can do full justice to the song.
