​The grapevine has been abuzz that Aishwarya Rai is making her comeback in a Mani Ratnam bilingual in Telugu and Tamil starring Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu.

Now Aishwarya herself in a television interview has confirmed that she is doing the Mani Ratnam film. In a chat with television anchor Anupama Chopra, Aishwarya Rai in her 13th Cannes Film Festival appearance, spoke of the two films she has signed.

Aishwarya Rai says : "Yes, I'm doing Mani Ratnam and Sanjay Gupta films as well.The choices are about working with these film-makers and on those subjects, because I find them exciting”.

About working with Mani Ratnam with whom she did Iruvar and Raavan, Aishwarya Rai said : "Abhishek and I both feel that apart from being an exemplary film-maker, it's just a pleasure to work with Mani sir. There's something he is always exploring creatively, and it makes the entire team want to push themselves. Working with him is exciting and inspiring, and we are like family."
