The internet has been ablaze from this morning that Indian cricketer and CSK star performer, Suresh Raina is dating Shruti Haasan. Seems like, the news has not gone down well with Suresh Raina.

In his official twitter page, he tweeted, "Too many media reports which no one even tries to confirm. This is to clear once & for all. I’m not dating ANYONE."

Meanwhile, after completing a schedule for Vishal starrer Poojai directed by Hari, in Pollachi and Coimbatore, Shruti has returned to her base in Mumbai. Her spokesperson too has denied such baseless rumors.

Shruti and Raina are in a mature relationship, but they are trying to keep it private.

Kamal Haasan's elder daughter Shruti's friendship with crick eter Suresh Raina has progressed by leaps and bounds. The two are now in a steady relationship.

Mirror was the first to bring you the news of their special rapport (May 15, 2013) after Shruti was spotted cheering for his team, the Chennai Super Kings, at the IPL matches.

A source close to the couple said: "Raina used to consider her his lucky mascot. This year, she has kept away from the cricket grounds. Yet Raina is playing extremely well. So the superstition has obviously ended. It is a mature relationship now and they are in love. But they are trying to keep it private and not speak about it in public."

Raina's form in the recent past, especially the ongoing IPL season, has been terrific. On Wednesday, he scored an unbeaten 54 at Brabourne Stadium, against Mumbai Indians, to keep alive CSK's chances of reaching the final.

Added the source, "Shruti and Raina try to meet as much as their busy sched ules allow them, and are very serious about each other."

Before meeting the batsman, Shruti was in a relationship with Rang De Basanti actor Siddharth. The two broke off in October 2011 when she walked out of his life and the home they shared, ending a one-and-half year old relationship. Shruti was introduced to Raina by common friends at a party early last year and clearly, things have been on a very smooth wicket for the two since then.

Prior to Shruti, Raina was rumoured to be dating former Union minister Praful Patel's daughter Poorna. But Poorna has always vehemently denied the connection.

Despite repeated phone calls and text messages, Shruti chose not to respond.
