Renowned character artist Bala Murali Mohan who has been face of Milk product Horlicks and known as Horlicks uncle / mama has committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Purasivakkam on Wednesday night.

Police said, Bala Murali hang himself to the roof of his house when he was alone at home and his wife found he is dead when she peeped through a window after knocking the door several times from outside.

Reasons for Bala Murali's death are unknown and cops are rigorously trying if they could find any suicide note. Sudden death of Bala Murali is a shock to his friends and industry people.

The actor who has acted in many films including Rendu, Iruvar, Hey Ram, Citizen, Minnale, Boys, Allithandha Vaanam was survived by his wife Seetha Rani and son Uma Shankar who is in the US.
