Actress Shirin of Thulluvadho Ilamai fame, who has been missing in Tamil films, is making a comeback with Nanbenda. Shirin is playing a crucial role in the film directed by debutant Jagdish, which has Nayanthara and Udhayanidhi in the lead. She is returning to Tamil films after nearly four years. Shirin, who has been acting in Kannada films, was last seen in Poova Thalaiya in Tamil.

Confirming the news of her comeback, director Jagdish says, “We have shot a few scenes with Shirin and she is playing an important role. She plays a girl, who harbours a one-sided love for Udhayanidhi.”

He adds, “She was on a break and is working on this film after a very long time. She is a talented actress and it is great to have her in our team.” This rom-com has been proceeding at a brisk pace and the crew has been canning major portions of the film in Kumbakonam too.
