Vijay - Amala Paul marriage gifts for noble cause
As we all know, director Vijay and actress Amala Paul who are going to enter the wedlock at a grand wedding ceremony on June 12 in Chennai have started giving invitations to friends and industry colleagues. The invitation pack reportedly carries a letter addressed to the invitee.
In the letter accompanying the invitation, Vijay and Amala Paul have requested the guests to avoid gifts. The duo has stated that the affection of the invitee is worth than any gift item. If at all they wish to spend something for the wedding, the ‘Thalaiva’ director and heroine have requested the invitees to donate the gift money in the form of Cheque or Demand Draft to ‘Ability Foundation’, a NGO that has been taking care of a number of physically challenged and orphaned children since 1995.
The donations to this foundation in located Chennai will be eligible for Tax deduction under section 80C of the Income Tax act.
It is worth remembering that another celebrity couple in play-back singer Chimayi and actor Rahul Ravindran who wed recently had followed the same principle with regards to gifts for their weddings and had persuaded the guests to donate the gift money to 17,000 ft Foundation, a charity organization in Ladakh.
