Bharathiraja appreciates Karthik Subbaraj for 'Jigarthanda'

Karthik Subbaraj who has retained much appreciation for his much recent film 'Jigarthanda', has now got much more extol from the ace director Bharathiraja.

Bharathiraja is the one who has broungt the cinema out of the sets, by shooting his films in the remote villages in Tamilnadu, and showcased the culture to everyone.

Jigarthanda is one film which got unanimous positive response from critics, audience and ace film makers in Kollywood. It is known that maverick film makers like Mani Ratnam and Shankar have appreciated the film, now the latest us that 'Iyakkunar Imayam' Bharathiraja has watched the movie and lauded Karthik Subbaraj for portraying Madurai authentically.

Bharathiraja, after watching 'Jigarthanda' featuring Bobby Simha, Siddharth, Lakshmi Menon, has personally called Karthik Subbaraj and appreciated him.

Delighted Karthik Subbaraj shared the news in his Facebook page. "Got a call from Bharathi raja sir.He said he loved every bit of Jigarthanda and appreciated the way Madurai is shown.Very happy to hear it from the legend who started showing Madurai and it's people to Tamil cinema!!".

Karthik Subbaraj is working on a new film for CV Kumar's banner, which is likely to have Simha in lead role.
