The audio of the upcoming film of Ilayathalapathy, Kaththi will be launched on September 18 in Chennai. And the audio rights of the film have been bagged by Eros Music for a big sum.

The Twitter page of the makers of the film confirmed the news saying, “”Exclusive: #Kaththi audio rights snapped by #ErosMusic for a huge price”. Eros Music has acquired the audio rights of a Tamil film for the first time ever.

An excited Soundarya Rajinikanth, younger daughter of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth and director of the film Kochadaiyaan in which the motion capture technology is used for the first time in India, tweeted, “”Excited to associate with #Kaththi team @anirudhofficial @ARMurugadoss & Vijay sir, #ErosMusic s first tamil album this 18 Sep :) @ErosNow”. Soundarya has taken charge as head Eros Digital South India and director (creative & strategy) for Eros.

It is said the audio rights of Kaththi has been acquired by Eros music for a whooping amount of 3 crores. If the rumour is true, it is the highest valued Tamil album ever.

Young music composer, Anirudh has scored music for the film. It is the first time the young musician has joined hands with Murugadoss and Vijay. The expectations on the music album are so high among the Tamil cinema music lovers.

To add up to their expectations, Anirudh had stated earlier that there would be a lot of surprises in the music album of “Kaththi”. As a bonus to the fans of Vijay, the actor has crooned the song, “Selfie Pulla”. All the factors have increased the curiosity quotient among the fans.

Kaththi’s audio launch is likely to happen in a grand manner in the presence of the film’s cast and crew including Vijay, Samantha, Anirudh, Murugadoss and the film’s producers. Reports say all the songs of the film will be performed during the launch function live and dance master Shobi will choreograph the show.
