Thriller genre gives consistent BO returns, distributors lining up

Genre of a movie can be touchy for an audience. When it comes to Horror movies, it is proved that this genre can provide the consistent and best at the box-office.

One of the samples is, the recent movie Aranmanai which is running successful in theatres.

Hansika-Andrea-Raai Laxmi's Aranmanai has taken a good opening in Chennai. The film dominated the Chennai screens and witnessed average theatre occupancy of 85% in its opening weekend.

The horror comedy entertainer is estimated to have grossed ₹89.48 lakh in the first weekend at the Chennai box office, according to reports. The multi-starrer has been the first choice of the public over new releases.

The horror comedy film received decent reviews from the critics, while the audience seems to have liked it, which is evident from the collections. The movie is grossing high which has given a hope to the distributors that they can buy more horror movies.

And it is heard that distributors are lining up to buy the next horror film “Muni -3”. Muni-3 is directed by Lawrence who is also playing the lead.
