Kaththi controversy - Lyca productions clarifies [Press Release]
Ever since the controversies started to hover around Vijay’s ‘Kaththi’ the media houses were wondering, why there isn’t any official cla...
Last week, Subhaskaran Allirajah gave an interview to a weekly and clarified few things regards to their alleged relationship with the Sri Lankan Govt & Rajapakse. The team Lyca has met the press this afternoon at Taj and issued a press release which carries all the clarifications to the rumors which were floating all over the web for the past few months.
“I take immense pleasure in announcing the release date of a prestigious movie ‘Kaththi’ & I’m very confident about delivering good movies with the team we have on our board.” – K. Karunamoorthy, producer of Lyca. A few miscreants have been propagating some baseless rumors & it is my responsibility to clarify them.
Images featuring Lyca mobiles in the background of Sri Lankan sponsored Common Wealth meet is morphed and we have already registered a complaint at the Chennai Cyber Crime. And, here is the proof for the same (He showed the copy of the complaint papers). We have been indulging ourselves in various charity programs & British Asian trust is one among them. Muttiah Muralitharan, the former Sri Lankan Cricketer was the brand ambassador for the event & we have handed over the cheque to him.
We (Lyca) have been distributing movies for the past 27 years and produced a Tamil movie under the banner of ‘Gnanam Foundations’, the Cheran – Sneha starrer “Pirivom Sandhippom’. Now we have renamed the production house as ‘Lyca Productions’. Mr. Subashkaran Allirajah is running the foundation on his mother’s name & it is serving the poor & needy people across the world – Concludes Karunamoorthy.
Hope all these clarifications will put an end to the rumors and ‘Kaththi’ comes out without any trouble as planned.
